DESCRIPTION:http://neurisa.org/ViewEvent.ashx?eventId=151466\n\nTitle: Procurement Practices & Principles for GIS Practitioners\n \n Location: NEURISA Webinar - more information will be provided as the event approaches after registration is confirmed.\n \n Speaker: Neil MacGaffey\, Assistant Director - MassGIS\n \n Since 2000\, Neil MacGaffey has been the Assistant Director of the Massachusetts Office of Geographic and Environmental Information (aka MassGIS). His responsibilities at MassGIS include way too much procurement and not enough GIS\, although the former makes the latter more successful. Prior to joining MassGIS\, Neil worked for five years as the GIS Administrator for the City of Newton\, Massachusetts. He has also held GIS related positions with Boston Gas Company (now part of National Grid)\, the Massachusetts Office of Coastal Zone Management\, and the GIS consulting firm PlanGraphics. He holds Masters and Bachelor’s degrees from the University of Wisconsin at Madison. He regularly provides invited presentations on a variety of topics to GIS\, assessor\, surveyor\, and other professional groups.\n \n \n Cost: Free (Online Registration REQUIRED)\; Limited to 30 attendees.\n \n NEURISA regularly receives inquiries about offering presentations again or in other locations because of distance limits for attending our in-person events. In an effort to make some earlier presentations more accessible\, NEURISA is pleased to bring them to you as webinars. We expect to offer more presentations on-line in the future.\n \n \n
